When two mediocre properties collide...

I was a child in the 70s and watched more than my share of "Land of the Lost" (and many other Sid and Marty Kroft shows). But who thought up the idea of having a Sleestak sell Subway's new "Tuscan Chicken Sub," which Subway's own press release touted as bringing customers "another taste of the Italian countryside"?

A taste of Tuscany delivered by... a Sleestak? (Rolling the "s" in "Tuscany" like a snake for good measure. Is that the characteristically Florentine pronunciation?)

And is that "Jared" lurking behind the Sleestaks in that publicity photo above? (Jared: the so-called "Fifth Sleestak"...)

Two mediocre properties combine to create an almost bliss-like state of total ambivalence in me for Subway, the new "Land of the Lost" movie and, most powerfully of all, "Tussssscan chicken subs".....
