According to a statement that "Elle" magazine provided to TMZ, despite the fact that Scotland Yard is investigating Lindsay Lohan in connection with the theft of over $500,000 in jewelry following a photo shoot in London on June 6th, "ELLE has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make."
No reason to believe that, I suppose, other than the fact that she reportedly asked multiple times during the photo shoot whether she could have the $400,000 necklace and other jewelry. ("We thought she was joking.") And other than the fact that she's been accused of similar conduct several times in the past.....
One way to counter those allegations, I guess, is to send out an old, slightly creepy photo of yourself. ("No necklace here. See!" It's far too crowded in here with "issues"....)
