According to an article in today's New York Times titled, "Obama Touts Job Creation," the President said on Monday that he expected his $787 billion economic stimulus package to save or create an additional 600,000 jobs this summer. (Does that mean summer jobs?) Together with the 150,000 jobs that the administration said were previously saved or created during the first 100 days after the President signed that bill into law initially, that makes a total of 750,000 jobs to be saved or created by the stimulus bill.
Great. What's not to love?
By my calculations, however, if the $787 billion stimulus bill results in 750,000 jobs, that's over $1 million per job.
