Rielle Hunter, John Edwards' former mistress, went inside the federal courthouse in Raleigh, North Carolina, Thursday morning, where a grand jury has been convened. Hunter was escorted in through a back entrance shortly after 8:30 a.m. by her lawyer, an FBI agent and an IRS agent. She was carrying her young daughter, Frances.Senator Edwards has publicly acknowledged that he is under federal investigation in connection with payments to Hunter's production company, though he has denied wrongdoing.
