Jon Stewart On Rep. Charlie Rangel
Last night on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart did a 6 minute segment on recent political corruption scandals in New York (embedded below). The first half focusses on embattled Governor David Paterson. This was funny, I thought. But the best part starts at the 3:30 mark when he goes after Rep. Charlie Rangel, and then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's inaction against him. I was surprised by how hard Stewart was on Speaker Pelosi. ("Does Botox also paralyze your moral compass?")
That was classic. Good to hear this morning that Rangel is stepping down as chairman.
